If you follow @Ceridian or any HR analysts on Twitter, you will have noticed over the last couple of weeks that the Twittersphere was buzzing with the hashtag #CeridianINSIGHTS. From July 14-17, nearly 2000 HCM professionals and Ceridian customers gathered in Las Vegas for Ceridian’s annual customer forum, INSIGHTS. The conference gave attendees the chance to network with other professionals, hear stories from Ceridian customers, and attend hands-on product training taught by our experts. INSIGHTS kicked off with an opening general session featuring our CEO, David Ossip. For those of you who don’t know David, he is very passionate and extremely transparent. He kicked off the conference by introducing the audience to “Our Way” and Ceridian’s new brand promise: Makes Work Life Better™. He talked about how the company values are lived by the employees and are reflected in customer and community interactions.

During the opening general session, Ossip gave a review of our last year, and showed that we have truly delivered on our promises from INSIGHTS 2014. This tweet shows our incredible improvement when it comes to ticket inventory, while maintaining a growing client base. While we continue to evolve, it is important to note that Ceridian will never lose sight of compliance. We will always be a leader in compliant HCM.

In Ossip’s demo of the latest Dayforce User Interface, “Oohs” and “Aahs” could be heard throughout the crowd. In a previous blog post, I wrote about the direct affect that usability has on ROI, and the new sleek UI found throughout the Dayforce product is more usable than ever. Often during HCM vendor reviews, the actual user of the product is neglected. At Ceridian, we are putting more focus on the end-user than ever before, which I will touch on in the next two tweets. David Ossip’s vision is to make Ceridian the provider of record, and Dayforce the application of choice for the EMPLOYEE. For the first time at INSIGHTS, Ceridian introduced TeamRelate to an audience of customers, prospects and analysts. In the Feb 2015 acquisition of RelatedMatters, Inc., Ceridian acquired a solution called TeamRelate, named an Awesome New Startup for HR by Human Resource Executive® Magazine in 2014. TeamRelate assesses individual leadership styles, core convictions and motivators to understand how employees can relate to each other better. The goal of TeamRelate is to help organizations build better teams that achieve more, and you can find this capability integrated throughout the Dayforce application very soon.

Ceridian also announced for the very first time, our partnership with U.K.-based WorkAngel, a platform for employee recognitions and rewards. WorkAngel is a mobile-first technology platform providing discounts on goods and services that can be redeemed by employees using an accumulation of points. By partnering with technology companies like TeamRelate and WorkAngel, Ceridian is demonstrating how important it is to add value to the employee. According to Ossip, “Our goal is to become the solution of choice for the employee.”

We were thrilled to have Josh Bersin, Founder and Principal of Bersin by Deloitte, join us at INSIGHTS for a special keynote. Bersin shared a message on the current state of the world of work and looked at 5 Global Human Capital Trends for 2015. The one trend that really stuck out to me during his speech was performance management. This new world of work that Bersin describes requires a new way of evaluating and rewarding people. Ongoing performance reviews/conversations are the future of performance management and this is how we have built Performance Management in Dayforce. In addition to appraisals and cascading goals, Dayforce Performance Managament gives employees and managers an avenue to track goals and regularly discuss and share feedback about them. 2014 was a record year for Ceridian, 2015 was a record breaking year for INSIGHTS and an amazing year for the Dayforce application. What a difference 3 years can make. I look forward to seeing another record number of attendees at the 2016 #CeridianINSIGHTS.
